On Site Screening of Spirits of Poulsallagh

Jarlath Slattery’s work is concerned with the gothic and the uncanny in the rural landscape of Co. Clare. Face pareidolia is the human tendency to see faces on objects and animism is the belief that objects, places, and creatures all possess a distinct spiritual essence, a consciousness. This film is a long slow meditation on these concepts sited within the landscape of the Burren, in Ballyreen, Co. Clare.
