Recreating Memories
Caroline Dunne’s work is concerned with the concepts of familial memory and loss in domestic space. The video performance installation in this exhibition, deals with the unexpected erasure of drawings and text that had built up over 50 years on the walls of a side entrance to her family home. The work responds to the shock of the loss of this personal family archive. This film documents the futile attempt by the artist to recapture these drawings and texts from memory.

Caroline Dunne is an artist based in Limerick City. She is currently studying Sculpture and Combined Media in the Limerick School of Art and Design. Caroline works in drawing, painting, video, stop motion and installation. Her work is concerned with everyday objects, time and memory focusing on the transitions between them.
